Glad somebody cleared up the T issue for me too. This is a superb picture and good to see it getting the totd,.Thanks for the info too, it always helps to understand an image better.

Ah thanks everybody, truly chuffed at the TOTD, although I'm still trying to figure out the 1st "T" bit :)

I seem to have found a small niche in the market - I'm doing a lot of this fairly tightly framed beauty stuff (and getting paid for it which is a bouns). I "discovered" studio lights about 18 months ago and have been practising a lot. I try to keep it simple, at most two lights and a reflector. What I was trying to do above is fairly standard beauty lighting (butterfly lighting) which is a lamp directly above pointing downwards at about 45 degrees, and a reflector under her chin. This gives the so called butterfly shadow under the nose. Great for the complexion. I think this was shot on about an 85mm (crop frame, so I'm not right on top of the model) prob at about f/11.

Love the expressiveness and positioning of her arms/hands and composition. Reminds me of an Elizabeth Taylor type in the glamour years of the early 60's. V.
